Join Our Team as a CASUAL Production Operative

We’re looking an enthusiastic individual to join our friendly Production team on a CASUAL basis, supporting our busy bakery during peak periods.

As a Production Operative, you’ll be at the heart of a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment, helping to produce our delicious range of products to the highest standards. If you thrive in a hands‑on role where precision, consistency, and teamwork matter, we’d love to hear from you.

Hours of Work

Day Shift: 08:00 – 18:30 (These hours can Vairy)
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday (with one day off in the week, this will be TBC, please be aware that the days you would be working can vairy)
Hourly Rate: £13.55 (Band 2)

Important: This is CASUAL employment

This role is offered on a casual basis, meaning:

• Shifts are offered in line with business needs

• There is no guarantee of ongoing or fixed hours

• Hours may vary from week to week

While casual roles can sometimes lead to permanent opportunities, this cannot be guaranteed.

The Role: What You’ll Be Doing

As a Casual Production Operative, you'll support our busy cookie production operation and may be required to work across any area of the manufacturing process depending on business needs. This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same.

Key responsibilities may include:

• Preparing ingredients and assisting with mixing recipes to specification.

• Supporting the production of cookies and other sweet bakery products.

• Operating production equipment and machinery following training.

• Assisting with baking, cooling, packing, labelling and palletising products.

• Setting up, running and supporting production lines to meet daily targets.

• Carrying out quality checks to ensure products meet our high standards for appearance, consistency and freshness.

• Monitoring production processes and reporting any quality, safety or equipment concerns.

• Completing production records, paperwork and food safety checks where required.

• Following allergen controls, food safety procedures and hygiene standards at all times.

• Maintaining a clean and organised working environment using a "clean as you go" approach.

• Cleaning equipment, utensils, machinery and production areas to the required standards.

• Supporting colleagues across different production departments as required.

• Working safely, wearing appropriate PPE and following all health and safety procedures.

• Assisting with additional production tasks as requested by Team Leaders or Managers.

You may be asked to work in any area of our cookie production process, including ingredient preparation, mixing, baking, packing, quality control, cleaning, or general production support, depending on operational requirements.

• Experience in food production or manufacturing is desirable but not essential

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment

• A reliable team player with a positive, flexible attitude

• Willingness to adapt to different tasks as required
