Due to continued business growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Financial Accountant to join our Finance Team based in Bodmin. This is a key role within the business, supporting financial planning, analysis, and reporting, and working closely with both finance colleagues and wider operational teams in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll play an important part in strengthening financial control, improving cost visibility, and supporting commercial decision‑making across the business.
Hours of work: 09:00 – 17:00
Days of work: Monday to Friday
Location: This is a fully onsite role based at our Bodmin site
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience and qualifications

Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning, Analysis & Reporting
Lead the annual budget and quarterly reforecast processes
Develop and maintain financial models to support scenario planning, margin analysis, and operational decision‑making
Support timely management reporting and month‑end close activities
Costing & Operational Finance
Maintain and update standard costs, labour, and overhead absorption rates
Analyse production variances (yield, labour, materials, waste) and work closely with operational teams to improve cost performance
Support NPD and Sales teams with product costings, pricing decisions, and margin modelling
Controls, Compliance & Improvement
Provide oversight and support across purchase ledger activities, ensuring compliance with financial policies and audit requirements
Support continuous improvement initiatives across the business
Maintain compliance with Health & Safety, Food Safety, Environmental, and Company policies
Team Support
Working within a small, friendly and hardworking team
Support the development of colleagues where appropriate
Undertake additional projects or activities as required to support business needs
Essential Requirements
Fully qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA (this qualification is an essential requirement of the role)
Post‑qualification experience within a manufacturing environment (food/FMCG preferred)
Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and operational finance
Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; experience using Power BI
Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
