Join Our Team as a Despatch Operative (Goods Out)

Hours: Monday to Friday
Alternating weekly shifts:

• 1 Week Early Shift: 08:00 – 16:30

• 1 Week Late Shift: 16:00 – 00:30
  (Includes 2 x 30-minute unpaid breaks per shift)

Salary: £13.10 per hour
Enhanced Rate: £16.38 per hour (for hours between 8pm–6am or over 37.5 hours per week)

Are you ready to play a key role in our despatch operations? As a Despatch Operative (Goods Out), you’ll help ensure our products are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and efficiently,  keeping our customers happy and our supply chain running smoothly.

You’ll be joining a passionate, friendly, and growing team that’s proud to deliver high-quality, delicious products across the country.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify products using product codes

• Ensure correct procedures are followed to maintain stock rotation

• Check for damaged or missing items and report/action accordingly

• Compile, print, and issue delivery notes

• Pick and load orders for despatch

• Complete daily stock takes using the AS400 system

• Operate machinery and equipment in line with company procedures

• Keep your work area clean and tidy at all times

• Support additional projects or tasks as required

Please note: You’ll be required to work in cold environments for portions of the shift.

Training & Development

We’re committed to helping you grow and succeed.

• Full training provided - however Reach Truck Licence is essential 

• After probation: Earn your Food Safety Level 2 and Health & Safety Level 2 certificates

• Strong record of promoting from within

Licenses Required:

• Reach Truck Licence – Essential

• Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence – Desirable, but not Essential
