Join Our Team as a Hand Line Pasty Crimper!

Are you ready to become a key player in our pasty production process? Our Hand Line Pasty Crimpers are responsible for creating delectable hand-crimped pasties, a classic favourite loved by many. Join our passionate team and master the art of pasty crimping. Hours of work will be 06:00 to 14:30, working Monday to Friday, with 2 x 30 mins unpaid breaks.  

Starting salary is £13.10 per hour with an enhanced rate of £16.38 per hour. Enhanced rate is for hours between 20:00 & 06:00 and for hours over 37.5 per week.

What You’ll Do

As a Hand Line Pasty Crimper, you’ll play a vital role in crafting our beloved, hand-crimped Cornish pasties. With full training provided, this is your opportunity to master a traditional skill in a friendly, supportive environment.

All new crimpers may also be trained in other areas of production to support both personal development and wider business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Crimp like a pro: Produce up to 4 crimped pasties per minute, depending on pasty size.

• Craft with care:

1. Remove pre-filled pastry bases,

2. fold and evenly distribute filling

3. hand-crimp the edges with 18–22 precise folds.

• Ensure quality: Monitor for product build-up and help maintain high standards across the line.

• Work your way:

1. Choose to sit or stand,

2. chat with teammates,

3. sing along to the radio,

4. focus quietly if that’s your style.

Support your team: A dedicated team leader is always on hand for guidance.

Keep it neat: Short, clean nails are a must.

No Experience? No Problem!

We offer comprehensive training to turn you into a confident pasty crimper. You’ll also earn your Food Safety Level 2 and Health & Safety Level 2 certificates during your probationary period.
