3-Month Fixed-Term Contract (FTC)
Monday to Friday | Shifts: 06:00–16:00 or 08:00–18:00

We are looking to fill this position on or before the 21 November 2025.

We’re looking for enthusiastic and reliable Sweet Bakery Operatives to join our friendly team on a 3-month fixed-term contract. You’ll be at the heart of our bakery, preparing, baking, and packaging our delicious cookies, ensuring every batch meets our high standards for taste and quality.

We’re a busy bakery, and production volumes can vary, so we’re looking for people who can bring a positive, flexible attitude and are happy to adapt to different tasks and schedules when needed. It’s a great opportunity to learn new skills, work in a fast-paced environment, and be part of a supportive, close-knit team.

Even better, successful applicants will have the opportunity to be considered for ongoing roles at the end of the 3-month contract, depending on open vacancies at the time, so this could be the start of something longer-term!

Key Responsibilities

Baking & Production

• Measure and mix ingredients accurately to produce our signature cookies.

• Operate and monitor baking equipment such as mixers, ovens, and cooling racks.

• Portion, shape, and bake cookies to perfection.

• Package cookies for distribution, ensuring correct labelling and freshness.

• Monitor baking times and temperatures to achieve consistent quality.

• Help solve production challenges quickly and effectively.

Quality Control

• Carry out regular checks to ensure cookies meet company standards for taste, texture, and appearance.

• Maintain consistency in portion sizes, shapes, and bake quality.

• Report and address any quality issues promptly.

Please note: This role is based in a fast-moving production environment where products are mass-produced to meet customer demand.

Working Hours & Pay

• 3-Month Fixed-Term Contract

• Monday to Friday

• Shift options: 06:00–16:00 or 08:00–18:00 (there is a question in the application form to indicate which shift you would like to apply for)

• Pay: £13.10 per hour

• Enhanced rate: £16.38 per hour for hours worked over 37.5 per week or between 20:00–06:00
